La Asociacion Hondureña de Pequeños Produtores de Energia
Renovable
(AHPPER) is a private initiative to form a non-profit
institution, created with the sole purpose of promoting economic
development through seeking solutions socially, economically and
environmentally effective the various problems facing the energy
sector in the country.
AHPPER has been formed thanks to the futuristic vision of a
group of Hondurans who have been entrepreneurs in renewable
energy and energy efficiency the way to ensure clean, safe and
economically efficient in the country.

Operation of the Association
AHPPER operates with its own funds, proceeds from the membership of
its partners and with external funds, product donations and
assistance from international agencies and organizations. It is
governed by the General Assembly, which is the maximum, and the
Board, which is responsible for administering and implementing the
mandates of the Assembly. |

Objetives: |

Promote the development of renewable energy projects in the
country.
Supporting initiatives to overcome those obstacles that
restrict the development of these projects, such as adequacy of the
legal framework in the country, as well as funding opportunities for
them.
Seek information dissemination and awareness training on
renewable energy and energy efficiency, through seminars,
conferences, workshops, publications and educational campaigns.
Represent the interests of the renewable energy industry in
the country in general and members of the Association in particular,
both at national, regional and international levels.
Provide technical assistance to its partners, legally and
professionally.
Identify internal and external sources of funding for
projects in the portfolio as well as partners for local firms. |

Representation before state bodies, private companies and
other national or foreign.
Assistance at all stages and areas of development of a project: pre-feasibility

locating sources of funding and local and foreign partners.
Appear on the website of the Association, as well as other
publications that it makes on their partners.
Access to the database held by the Partnership, such as technical
manuals, books, computer software, as well as any information on
contacts with foreign nationals or organizations (manufacturers,
consultants, associations, etc.)
Participation in events such as conferences, tradeshows,
seminars and workshops are conducted on the industry. |
